The ground in the first screen is far too lumpy, try smoothing it out with the bigest brush. the ground in the second screen is far too flat, if you want flat terrain, but no compleatly flat, use the niose tool, then smooth it, just to give the ground a texture. the last 2 are nice though, add some sky and fog though

I guess there' in a differant order for me... Nice terrain, but the noise tool was not used well. always use the smooth tool.

looks pretty good. my only suggestions would be to bumpy up the terrain a little bit and space the trees out some more. all and all, you're heading down a good road. :D

Very well done altogether. I like the one with the portal especially (so what if its just because i like portals ;) ), and I agree that one of them (the one with the dessert like look, with cactuses and high cliffs) needs more height variation. But who am I to criticise? great job.

I am a noob terrainer myself, but I would like to post a suggestion anyway. :o In the desert picture you could do with a few more doodads (I know its a desert environment, but even deserts have rocks and animal bones lying around.) and maybe a vulture in the sky. The rest of it is good though. nice job. :D

Btw johnfn, its desert not dessert. Dessert is what you have after dinner!
