Hi! when i try to open my aos map it gives an error telling me that level data is missing or invalid. How do i open my map? help plz! |

Did your world editor crash the last time that you saved your map? Were you using an altered editor? Did you remove or replace any files in the map (using WinMPQ or the Import Editor)? Can you screenshot the error and post it here? |

A screenshot would be the most helpful. And a few more details about what may be unusual about your map or editor. |

no special editor. the only thing about my map thats imported are skins. nothing unusual about it. how do i insert a screenie? (i hate this vbulitin version of wc3c... whatever happened to the old one? i havnt been here since long ago) The editors error simply reads -Level info missing or invalid. |

ouch.... its your heroes level thing, something musta got screwy and the data for the leveling process (either that or upgrade, spells, or something else's levels) just died... ask a veteran for info on how to recover corrupt maps |

When you reply (not quick-reply), there is an "Additional Option" below the text box that says "Attach Files". Click the Manage Attachments button and upload a screenshot of your map. It will appear as a thumbnail in the message, until you click it to bring up the full-sized image. Unfortunately, based off of your description, I don't know of anything that would cause the map to be corrupted in that fashion. |
