Modellers in particular, but it would be most handy to have a JASS expert available to review the code I've produced thus far. There are still significant bugs with building placement, henchman and hero behaviour, but I do have a rough working prototype of the Mod running at present: http://www.angelfire.com/trek/alfryd/Testing.w3x I'm still getting to grips with JASS, but you can get some idea of my skinning ability from the UI. There isn't that much to see- just a couple of buildings to place- but the underlying JASS engine for handling the AI seems to be holding together and should be smoothly extensible to much grander things. NOTE: This map uses a modified common.j, and as such cannot be loaded 'from scratch', it must NOT be the first map played when you enter warcraft. However, using 'test map' in the WE loads everything fine. I'd mostly need Modellers for the mobile units, though I'm reasonably confident most can be based off existing warcraft units with varying degrees of modification. I can do my own skinning, terraining, triggers and so forth, but I have no access to an .mdx modelling program, using as I do a Mac. You can see some samples of my work here: http://www.angelfire.com/trek/alfryd/MTshot1.jpg http://www.angelfire.com/trek/alfryd/bagend.jpg For those of you that don't know, Majesty was- is- an RPG/RTS/SIM hybrid that still has a small but devoted following, but suffered, in my opinion, from a lack of overall depth in gameplay and any truly challenging quests- partially elleviated in the Northern Expansion pack, but too late by then. The basic game concept was that you had no direct control over your troops- which sounds like a nightmare until you realise how much micromanagement it takes off your hands when your heroes are forced to think for themselves- but exerted influence through a series of sovereign spells, bounties and reward flags. Oh, did I mention all your troops are heroes? It's a real shock to come back to traditional click-frenzy RTS- 'Good Gravy, must I tell them to do everything...' So, if you've any interest, please sign up below, and I might just be able to get some official hosting in future. |

I've now uploaded a map version with basic protection. Let me know if you want to see the unlocked version and I'll mail it to you. |
