So, I've been working on this map for weeks now... yeah I know it's not a ton of progress, but I'm still learning. I was trying to make an animation using a trigger and the map start crashing WC3 every time I tried to test it... it crashes at the loading bar. Even when I completely delete the triggers and units I created since the last time it worked... the map still crashes. Does anyone know how to salvage my work? I feel like I worked really hard on the bits I have, and I don't want to start over if at all possible. *cry* I'm on a Mac. I have the map available for download at: http://www.ivorysanctuary.com/preview/itbroke.w3x |

goutuizi, I've downloaded your map. I can't try it out right now, but I'll try to look at it first thing tomorrow and see if anything stands out. Good luck. |

I don't see anything in your triggers that would cause a problem. Now I'll try loading the map in-game. EDIT: Indeed, it crashed. I combed through your units and triggers for anything out-of-place, but I didn't find anything. I'm not saying that ther *isn't* something, mind you, but I couldn't find it. You can copy-and-paste terrain from one map into another, though. That should save you a bulk of work. You can also export unit data, although I recommend that you remake your units and triggers, to be on the safe side. Since you've got several spawn triggers on the same periodic event, you could probably combine them to improve performance (although this is not likely to be your bug). I'm sorry I couldn't help out more. |

I think something wonky happened with the Disappearing Mischief or Ghostly Mischief or whatever it's called trigger for the two undead Acolytes. Anyway, if I can get the terrain to copy and paste into a new map, then re-building the triggers won't be so tragic. I'll try it and see how it goes. Thank you *gleam* [EDIT: is doing select all, copy, paste into a new map supposed to take forever? because it seems to be taking a long time. I'd rather let it finish, though, than start over, if it's still working. maybe I'll go shopping...] |

i've found the problem, at first i tried to remove every triggers, but it still crashed, then i tried to remove every custom objects ( spells, units and doodads ) and it worked! its up to you to open your map and see what custom object makes your game crashes your triggers are fine, they didnt made the game crash |

I just want to thank you both and give you a quick update. With the information you provided, I finally figured out that the unit causing the trouble was the "Undead Treant" I placed for decoration in the graveyard. Removing that unit made the rest of the map work, including my disappearing Mischief-makers in the graveyard area.... Woohoo!!! Back on track. :D You guys rock. Thanks so much. |
