War III AI Editor Tutorial Request

I have looked all over the place and have yet to find ANY good tutorial on how to use the AI editor sucessfully. Blizzard went to all the trouble to put an AI editor with TFT and yet it is so glitchy no one can use it. I have been trying to use the editor with my custom races for weeks and constantly hit snags. If anyone knows how to program the editor without messing around with triggers (besides run AI script ____) or JASS I'm sure a tutorial would see you showered with praise.

If someone knows how to use the editor and doesn't want to write a full tutorial, I would be selfishly happy if they helped me out:
When I program my custom AI using custom units it makes three ranged units (sloth stone chuckers), and then makes umteen million melee units (sloth warriors.) It builds buildings fine, and researches all the upgrades I want it to, but it still maxes out its food limit with warriors. I programed it to make 6 warriors 6 stone chuckers, and three of each (of three types) of magic users.
