He's of a race called the Malctus, which was transported here from Draenei through means unrevealed.

looks like hes being pulled by his arse hairs. the stuff lying around the creature isnt too well executed, looks like overkill. appreciate your attempt to save this section of the site, gj.

Suggestion Marco... make a gallery... then again you won't get as many hits if you don't post them in the main page.

I would agree with the premise of what Russel Crowe drinking milk has to say... but I would say that the manner is not all too elegant. I personally thank you for working at getting us back to our main purpose, concepts.

I'm not quite at ten yet . . . unless you count the ridiculous number of comics in the Artist Battle Thread!

i like the detail you put into it. the tentacles look cool, but the face and torso could use some work. really cool looking though, i like the concept. ocean stuff pwnzorz.... could be a naga unit!

Not really - in fact, the malctus frequently skirmish with the naga constantly over choice pieces of continental shelf. Fortunately for the naga, they are pretty much contained to a certain area - a place not on the current Warcraft maps.

I think you did a good job on the picture, I like the pose you drew for him. That would be a pretty cool race on warcraft 3.

If you want more, I will draw more - I'm part of the new Request thread, after all.

Heck, I'll even tell tell you their story if your that interested, though it isn't much without the history of several other unknown races.

[edit]: And yes, they are amphibious in that respect.

Well . . . alright (thinks it over).

The race of mollusk-like beings known as the malctus originated in the briny seas of Draenor. Malicious and bloodthirsty beings, most say that these shadowy creatures were already evil-aligned even before they began making contact with the demons of the Burning Legion. The Legion empowered their warlocks with spells of shadow and taught them the art of using deceit in warfare, making them a decidedly potent force. Enthralled by their new power, the malctus staged a massive land raid on the huge penninsula Torpannak Durakh, where there supposedly lived a race whose very souls were wrapped in magic. The malctus waged a shadowy war with these beings for over a decade, until they were soundly defeated and cast back into the waters that spawned them.
What was unknown to either side was that the malctus had merely been a tool for the Legion to distract the arcane race while the real threat was born. As the self-titled Tidal Wars raged on, Kil'Jaedon made his pacts with the shamans of the orcs and turned the might of the Horde into the Legion's right hand on Draenor. Weakened from their previous battle, the mysterious race was unable to combat the fierce orcs and their magically created counterparts - the bugbears and ogres. Rather than let the Legion feast on their energies, they created an immense portal under their peninsula that sucked the landmass through, transporting their entire home into Azeroth, somewhere far East of Lordaeron. Unwittingly, the malctus were also transported, and spent many years exploring the new waters around them.
Although the malctus still considers themselves somewhat of an ally to the Legion, they have given up on conquering the shorewalkers of what is now Torpannak Duren in favor of staving off a new threat. Now, leagues under the routes where trading vessels peacefully travel the waves, an underwater war wages on between the proud naga empire and the shadowy, mongol-like tribes of the malctus.

Do you want a new picture of the same unit, or simply another unit? I originally thought of them as merely creeps, but do what you will. Since this is a request, I believe I shall post the results in the request forum - look and post requests there in the future, if you would.

sounds nice the story, so that means they are also an evil race?
about the concept, if you could make another one of the same unit and one different unit thatl be awesome. (can u provive a link to them if you post em in another thread?)

ive got his 8 legs and lower body almost finished, im now adding its bones before i continue with the upper body.
im still not sure how he will move out off the water... and how it would look.

first ill try to finish this model (wich will take some time) and well see afterwards if were gonna continue the race ok?
