Here's a question for the masses. Is it possible to change the angle of special effects by 90 degrees? eg use the resurrection graphics and put it on its side. |

sure you can set a units graphics to a special effect but what i'm talking about is setting the actual graphics of ReviveHuman.mdx to being horizontal rather than veritcal (kinda like a laser blast). from what you described, you can only change the actual rotation angle (ie the y-axis) that it is attached to. so rotating a cylinder will give you the same face all the time. any other ideas other than modifying the actual model graphics? cause i only have 3dsmax 6.0 and there are no files to import the mdx files into it. |

I know that I need 3dsmax 4 or 5 but the only problem is that I can't find it. Hell even the 3dsmax site doesn't even sell it. If you know of a place could you let me know. |

It's a lot simpler than that, you just need to make a new bone in the effects model and make all other bones children or children by extension to this bone and have this bone rotated at 90 degrees, simple. I make a horizontal revive effect for J.D.'s AoS map for the Omega blast spell and I did it by copying the rotation value of the root bone for the Shimmering portal from the end of the birth anim and of course the shimmering portal rotates to 90 degrees. |
