Ok, this one is definitely not done yet, just looking for feedback/suggestions on a few things. The theme is of a Naiad/Atlantean/Sea-Spirit/Ocean-Warrior type of character, elven in appearance (using the non-hero Warden model). She's supposed to be rather tanned and have the appearance of a swimmer that spends most of her time either in the water or, eh, 'on the beach' (near water). Not pushing the char's background or anything here, and no, she doesn't have any relation to the Naga deliberately. Some of the outfit is meant to be themed as well...sparse pearl/silver accessories, a seaweed cloak/hood, seashell textured shoulderplates (the upper ones at least), a sash with dolphin symbols. Tried to make the warden weapon look like a silver trident, but it's barely close (what a waste that thing is on the model). Her 'lower' shoulderplates are merely 'seaweed' for now. Oh yeah...attached are 3 quick images...the skin in Wc3Viewer, the skin again in-game, and simply a image of a seashell I was TRYING to skin the upper shoulder pads like. A couple of edits I'm considering right now: Lightening up the seaweed cape/hood in general (ok in Viewer, too dark in-game) Perhaps switching the textures for the shoulderplates (make bottom pads like seashells and top pads like...uh...I'm not sure) Perhaps making the lower pads into 'starfish', shape and texture wise. Somehow fixing the ears...I still don't know what's causing this 'black ears' problem on the non-hero Warden model. Btw, ignore the small gray patches on the lower shoulderplates in the in-game shot, just a small error I already fixed. Suggestions/feedback are welcome. ^^ Psy D |

The sea weed should vary more put some light colored seaweed in it. Her hair shouldnt be green it doesnt look good with the cape. Try brown or blonde. Blonde may go well with the shoulder pads. The body is very good and the face looks great for that model. I had that problem too with ears. You def gotta fix the shoulder pads. Nice work. |

First off, thanks for the compliment and the feedback. ^^ Ok, hm...I'm definitely going to brighten the seaweed a bit in both the cape and hood parts (actually, my previous version had each being of an aqua color similar to her sash, with silver fish/dolphin shaped runes/symbols on it...but it looked a little TOO flashy)...then I'll see if the hair looks ok or needs a change (the hair is meant to be of an oceanic-color, like a dark aqua or similar to 'stormy water' color...I'd like it to be 'abnormal') ;) The ears...I just flat out don't know how to fix that problem...I've seen other skins on this model with properly skinned ears (non-black) and just can't figure out what's going wrong here. :( Lastly, the pads...I think first thing I'm going to try is making the lower pads into the seashell texture that's currently on the upper ones (they're shaped a little bit better for it). The upper pads...now I'm not really sure what to make them appear like tho... Any further suggestions/feedback, anyone? I could really use it as I'd like this skin to be my best yet, if I can pull it off. ^_^ Psy D |

Back again with an update...hopefully people will take a look. ;) One image in Wc3Viewer, the other in-game again via the TFT WE. Updated the seaweed-cloak/hood (color-wise), the lower shoulder pads (the same) and a few tweaks here and there. Still not sure what to do with the upper shoulder pads really (the current 'seashells') and perhaps the hair, which I'd like to be a 'unique' color really. ^^ Further feedback/suggestions, please? :> |
