To record the current audio coming from the pc with goldwave, go to the run menu in windows and type "sndvol32" if you have XP or "sndvol" for older versions of windows, then select options, properties, recording. Make sure "stereo mix" is ticked then click OK. Select "Stereo mix" as the recording source. (You may have to adjust the slider to near the bottom otherwise the audio may be too loud) Finally go to goldwave and just record as normal.

That should sort ya out !

It doesn't matter either way if it's on your hard drive or not, when you pick "stereo mix" as the recording source whatever program you're using will record exactly what you are hearing through your speakers.

Though it sounds like Tijusian sorted you out, I wrote this tutorial about audio ripping, Patrick. You may wish to check it to make sure you get it efficiently. :)
