Okay... my team has sort of a big crisis here. Ever since I found out milkshape doesn't work for making WC3 models (at least... not well) I tried to start learning 3ds, but there's just no way. That program doesn't make any sense at all, and the tutorials here, in the 3ds help files, and the wc3 art tools aren't helping at all. I've figured out how to actually make a model, but I can't apply a skin to it, and I can't get it to work in wc3 or animate it, so I need anyone out there who knows how to take a model i make, a skin someone else makes, put it together, and make it work in wc3. Our project is at pretty much a standstill until we find someone like that. Please! If you know how to make a working model, PLEASE contact me. |

Eeeh... If you ask me then 3ds max is 10 000 x easier than milkshape... A good place that has a power searcher for tutorials is http://www.3dbuzz.com so there you can power search for tutorials. Though it hasn't anything to do with wc3 but there you can learn the interface and modelling techniques and such. |

3dbuzz also had their wonderful vtms, that were free video tutorials. That's how I learned most of my stuff. However, now due to monetary issues, you can only download a couple without donating or doing something else for the buzz community. Actually, I think you can have them send them to you free in the mail. The limitation is only when you try to download them on the site. |
