I need so a unit can see unlimited over a Epic size map, but still be unable to see behind hills and such. I tried changing Line of Sight value to 99999, but its still 1800 in game (which i think is capped). If thats impossible, can i make so the unit cant fire through hills? If i get a good answer and quick help, i'd be happy to increase reputation: ^_^ |

Just a guess but maybe do pick all units in xrange of unit and add sight bloaker point with polar offset. Create it at position of unit with polar offset of 50 and angle between xunit and picked unit. Then do the same with all pick all doodads. And for the hillls just preplace them. |

Hmm that sounds like a great idea, but i heard sight blockers and such lag when many? And another thing.... the problem is i cant find where to make unit line of sight to unlimited: If i use sight over the whole map on start, the sight blockers will still not block the sight of a unit. Sorry, wont work. More? |

you gotta see whats wrong. first, id create a completley flat map of the same size, give the unit the same properties, place it in the middle, see if it sees everything. if it does, its a question of seeing over hills. Otherwise, there is a cap and i doubt you can do anything. |

Hm.... Well im quite sure about that the cap is the problem, cuz when i try changing he value without holdign shift + enter, i cant even change the value to over 1800. Damn u blizzard for making a stupid cap just to annoy map makers!!! nobody knows how to shut off the cap? |
