Is there something going on with wc3c lately? It always takes me at least a minute to load a page. BE, hosted on this same server takes no time to load. What's up with the system? |

I can't speak for the web master correct me if I'm wrong but I saw the sites IP address and it looks like one that of a Cable or DSL Modem??? Designated by the 66. (or in that range) at the beginning usually assigned to those types of broadband services. So if that is so the connection is under alot of strain. |

deathperception - You are wrong... very wrong, you can't make assumptions like that about IPs. |

Yeah the site is weird lately. It's either really fast, or really slow. The site doesn't "remember me" so I have to keep logging in whenever I visit the site. |

It's from people doing weird crap on the server with badly created php stuff and code. Not vb3's fault. |

What I don't get is why anything under the domain of wc3campaigns.com is slow (this includes both forums and static HTML pages) while anything under other domains on this server are still fine (brokenedge.net, wowlands.com, blizzplanet.com). Could this be a DNS issue? |

Probably those domains are under a different IP address or a different server perhaps. o_O I've also never heard of my DNS on my sites giving problems but since I outsource it and serve the sites myself on the T1 (since I sell on the web for a living and since WC3 has like 70% more strain then my site does) I can't say whether W3C hosts their own DNS or not. Well actually I probably could since most sites that have their own DNS have their site name designated as the name servers like this ns1.wc3campaigns.com ns2 etc.... of course these all translate to IP Addresses and I don't want to get into the principles of DNS because my fingers are getting tired :\ but most nameservers use a similar format for simplicitys sake. No matter what the problem is thanks for the great site I wouldn't be mapmaking in my spare time without it keep up the good work Draco and all the other people this keep this site going :D. |

Yup your absolutely right but for 1 split second (typing before thinking) I actually believed there was some type of standardization. But I learned from all the time I worked with computers there are no standards. Especially in computers. :< |
