Ok, first off, this is not "another diablo ii map" thread. This isnt some idea floating around. This is something that is quickly becomming a reality. With the terrain for act I 89% done, and the ADVANCED trigger system at about 50%, I believe its time we get some more people on the team. As of now, we have a terrain artist, ability artist, programmer and an inorganic modeler. Now, some info about this project.. This is the first of many maps. Each map is an act. This WILL be battle.net playable, but definatly pushing the max file size. This map will stay as close to diablo as possible IN EVERY SINGLE WAY. Anything you can think of, we are incorporating (seriously). Just an example, we currently are only 80 items shy of having every single item in the game from diablo. Thats pushing nearly 800 items (havent actually counted yet). The game will consist of every hero and every skill for every hero. Act I is not expected to be completed for months yet, but the others should take a much shorter time to develop. (Systems will already be done) If you want to become part of this, I'm requesting an example of your work. Sorry, I know it sounds very bad saying this, but NO AMATURES please. I'll be the first to admit I totally suck at modeling.. but I dont do the modeling now do I. --This may turn into an entire mod for warcraft, which may lead to modifcation of the game.exe and play on a private warcraft server-- ^^ That is unconfirmed, but is being kept in mind if we cannot get filesize down. Modeler's and Skinners will be required to create various organic related creations. The main focus is currently the act boss's and the hero's. Anyhow, once we are farther along, we will be either submitting a request for a forum on here, or designing our own website.
