Ok ,for my mod i want to change to foodcap and also change upkeep to keep in sync with it, but i can't find the file where the value of foodcap is written. Ive spotted foodcap stuff in MiscMetaData.slk which uses the files MiscData.txt and MiscGame.txt to give definitive values for data. But none f these files have the value for foodcap and upkeep. Yea, so if you could tell me where i can change foodcap etc. that would be good. And yes i know you can change it in thw World Editor but i need to do it outside of it |

Well, I don't know how to change the cap outside of the editor, but inside it's in the Gameplay Constants. Why must you have a solution outside of the WE? I'm curious. |

Well i actually have had TFT for about 3/4 of a year. Anyway as you may or may not not im working on a total coversion of WC3 and i want melee maps with a much higer food limit. But if i change this in the W/E then it wont be melee. I know it doesn't really matter, but it would've been cool. |

you cannot make the food limit higher than 300, even with slk editing, i tryed it awhile ago and it crashed WCIII, just plainly refused to run till i changed it back. Also i highly suggest you dont change the current food limit, as if you have enough units to fill up 100 food in a melee and there are more than 4 people playing, there is gonna be a fair amount of lag, 300 food and the game becomes unplayable, you ever seen those "Free everything" maps? As soon as everyone has bout 70 - 80 units, the map lags out and everyone crashes. |

ok, i guess i will leave it the same because the way the game works will result in higher requirements for Warcraft anyway. Muhahaha |

You could try making a custom food system with triggers; not too difficult. As far as keeping it melee, there's really no obvious advantage to doing so. But, I think Zepir's editor can force the map to be considered melee even if it's not. |
