Hi I heard a lot about that spell books suck. I just need some to the hero's on my map but if its to complicated or to bugged. I know about triggers and a lot of other stuff not just JASS, unless you explain it very good to me.

Thanks for answers

There's nothing wrong with the spell book ability, you just have to be careful not to do Strange Things(tm) with it. (Like, having the minimum number of spells higher than the maximum, or somesuch...).

You can use it just fine without any JASS or triggering knowledge whatsoever.

Can I use more spell books at the same character?

If I remember correctly, yes. But I'm not sure. My advice would be to try and out and see what happens.

Really?! Is this a 1.15 update?

I assume that this doesn't actually change what orderstring the spell is based off of, but changes what signals are given to things which detect orderstrings?

You could have the spellbook put items onto the charecter's command card. The levels could be stored into integers and applied to the skills when the spellbook is used.

Hmm, you mean my item slots? I need them very much so I can't really use that idea

I've made a spellbook where you learn spells and the actual hero spells are added to the hero. Works fine. :)

How? And can you have more of them on the same hero?

It sounds really cool, you made it up with triggers right?

You can have a trigger where you add the real ability to the spellbook when they learn the hero ability, then unlearn the hero ability
