Question on mpq's

Well, I'm using about fifty or more imported files in my campaign, each one with a modified path. I'd like to know if it is possible to create an mpq file containing all this files with the edited paths and then import it in a map, this would save me a lot of work and time for my campaign.

I've just found out how to create mpq's. But I've imported one I had made in a map and the map isn't able to use this data. What I did was export from an already created map all custom files plus all modified object data, then I created a new map and imported in it the custom object data and the mpq. But the mpq was selected as a file from the category "other", as if WorldEdit didn't know what kind of file it is, and the map couldn't use the mpq's files. What must I do ?

Importing an mpq into the map wouldn't save space or anything like that even if the game could read them: The maps are already saved as mpq's, only with a different exstension. You'll just have to import the files individually, there's just no way around it if you want them included in the maps.

Alternatively, you could create a custom patch mpq and distribute together with the campaign.

Thanks (by the way, I knew this wouldn't save space, but I thought this would be a faster way to import files.)

you can still use the same method of importing files into the map like importing into an MPQ....
