And lo, the idea becomes a post. I'm seeking persons with a knowledge and interest of Ancient (Greek) History, during the 300-400 BC period, following the latter era of Philip of Macedon, and the whole lifespan of Alexander the Great. My intentions are to produce a 'conversion' of Warcraft into a semi-accurate historic mod, recreating the military forces and skills of the Ancient Greeks and their enemies. This will include vast modelling, edits, skins, and a good deal of stats overhauling and triggers. Whilst I am capable of doing this soley, I'm sure there are others out there who may be interested in helping me out. Ideally, a campaign of sorts will eventually be produced, placing you in the role of Alexander during his great conquests, as well as various novelty scenarios. This is no light undertaking, and will not be completed in any short period of time. Alexander accomplished greater deeds than any, not only of the kings who had lived before him but also of those who were to come later down to our time. This project is dedicated to the most charismatic and heroic king of all times. Please reply here and/or PM me of your interest. |

dunno, i might put the Bouncy Faries back, it was funny getting PMs from people saying how disturbed they were :P anyway, with this project, we going to have any kind of gods or magic in it? Or just pure realism. |

I mentioned to Andy, it would be a nice aspect to have some mythology involved, where it is present in records and resources. That opens up a lot of potential for other campaigns or spin-off maps. |

How about you have a sacrifical place where you must sacrifice animals and stuff to the gods, and then if you don't you have bad weather and your crops are destroyed. And you plant corn and you just have to make a portrait for corn and it'll be something you plant and provides 1 food. |

Alexander was a conqueror, not a farmer. For now we work on realism. This won't be Age of Mythology. |

That's pretty nice, how are the spear attack anims? I could use that, and make variations for hoplites. |

I could do triggers/Unit design ((NOT MODELING, DESIGN)) and spell making. Oh and the LOTR elven soldier is awesome, just for this will need bronze armor and short hair. |

Ooops, I hit reply but w/e. I could design the ideas as of gameplay and the exact storyline ((the specific words said and such)). |
