Dogs Of War

I am createing a new quasi-army for a new campaign. To replace the tower, I have created the Kennel, which will spawn (no cost) Dogs, (you know em, 15 hp, no attack, no armor) and train (no cost, except 1 food) Dogs of War, 100 hp, a weeny amount of damage, no heal (as the dog) and tada, you have a new way of making a tower.

But its got some problems. First, I would like the dogs (bot types) to be summoned, meaning they have a timer, thats what I will accept.

What I WANT is for them to be summoned, and for when they run out of time, they turn into critters. That is something I can do without, but it would be nice.

This part I want, as well, no control. I want the dogs to wander like critters (I got that already) but I want them to go to the waypoint. I dont want the player to be able to control them.

So, in a list, to make it easier, here is what I want.

1) Summoned timer
a) After the timer they become creeps/critters
2) No Player control outside the waypoint

I NEED 2 if I get 1, but I can do with just 1. If I can get neither, the idea doesent work.



So, the question is, how do I do it? Id appreciate any help you can offer, but keep in mind, Im trying to keep it simple. Thanks.
