I need some critiques for this drawing before I turn it in.
It was initially sketched and then I colored it with photoshop. The background was not done by me.

Gah, I made that hair in 5 minutes, I could post a creation for you for if you give me some time. Its easy if you know how to use photoshop.

Guess I'll take your accussations as compliments. Check out my tutorial if you want to know a semi-good way to create hair (my real method is much better :8 )

The black outlines don't fit in with the rest of your picture. You've got all these soft edges around the lips and hair (which looks pretty good, I'll get to that in a minute), and then all of a sudden you've got this hard black edge around the nose and chin. If you want to outline, I'd suggest you do it with a color that's closer to the skintone, or make all your outlines black.

The hair doesn't flow very well. No offense but it does look like a part of something else. You should try to make it all start from one spot, like from where your hair parts. No hair would start to flow straight down from the top of your head.

All in all, a good picture. Coloring is really good.

lol, I think I messed it up.

hmm, I thought the dark outlines made it look almost like a comic book style drawing, plus I never was very good at fleshing out facial features. Still, I think its a good suggestion and I'll probably use your idea.

Thanks for the help

That's true that dark outlines give a more comic book style, but what you've got here is conflicting styles. To fix this, keep either the dark outlines or go all out painterly.

The new picture is much better, though try to keep the hair flowing in the same direction you've got down, which is towards the ends of those strands. An ugly paintover to show you:

I outline the lips, is this an improvement?

Some thing new here, same project different picture.
Please critique the line art before I color it, thanks.
Be warned, this one is a little graphic.

pretty good, the only thing that seem wrong is the hand holding the knife, the position is really abnormal, its impossible to have a 90 degree angle here, look at ur hand and see by urself
