Would it be possible to swap the NE campaign backdrop scene and the human campaign backdrop scene, i.e. have that archer and trees stuff show instead of the footman and the human gate/castle. |

There is, but you risk your bnet playability. Im not sure if you can log on to bnet with a different mpq than the normal one, but if you want to risk it just find the backrounds in the mpq using mpqview or winmpq or mpq2k or any other mpq viewing device and save the files outside of the mpq, rename them, and import them back in. You whould have to name the human campaign screen what the elf campaign screen was named, and vica versa. Basicly, just switch their names. hope that helps, and be careful, you could mess the game up if your not careful. |

Guest | use war3skin.txt. To my knowledge implenting that would not cause a desync with other players. (I think, better BACKUP for safe) nyway, its a while since im playing with a human campaingn background on battle net :infth: :lch: |

I did use w3skin.txt, but something odd happens. I replaced the tutorial scene with the human scene. It works, however the human scene gets the fog setting of the tutorial scene as well as the audio background of the tutorial scene. Any clues? |

Guest | aah that problem is known...according to skyquake it is someting related to profiles. If you go to the tutorial or something like that, and you have a existing profile, you wont ee fog, but if new=fog this is due to other settings I presume., prolly with light and weather. Those are changable too (main has rain?, not sure) |

I dunno, it's wierd. Whatever scene is the last one displayed when you exit the campaign menu is the one that gets used when you next enter the main campaign menu. What I find wierd is that the weather and sound effects are not bound to the scene model used. Actually, it perfectly make sense that way =p Problem is now to find a way to change that. My goal is to replace the Human campaign with my own campaign and remove the tutorial. Maybe blizzard.j or common.j could be edited. There is a lot of stuff in there, I'd have to check. I know movies are in there (there will be a new CG movie in that campaign as well). |
