Patch update

A small newstopic for today: Blizzard has updated its beta patch 1.15 to beta patch 4.11 (err, ya there is no logic so, uh, just grab it). The changes are mostly balance issues, but also fixes on certain bugs that prevented people from playing the patch. The direct3d problem is one of those, but the fix for "cd not found error" remains to be seen.

Just connect to westfall to have your patch updated in a way or another.

And another news: Ive asked a few people around to develop a tool that allows you to configure and update your mod's sempq. Handy for projects that use sempq files to run. No more need to download the full version again, and again...and again...and again...Expect this tool to be there soon!

Another tool would be a gui for mod renaming, if you use mpq renaming for alpha and beta testing of your mod. Thnx to Killer927 from BrokenEdge for realising this!

Why is the name 4.11?? and not 1.15a or something..strange

Im still shit out of luck....Im apparently banned from Westfall because my REIGN OF CHAOS ( yeah you heard me right ) cd key is banned from ladder play. So because of map hacking BACK IN REIGN OF CHAOS like 2 ****ING YEARS AGO, i cannot updare my wc3 Frozen Throne version over wesftall today.

If anyone knows where a standalone version is downloadable or anything, then please help me. (I really only want the new WORLD EDITOR functionality anyway)..but i wont get my hopes up.

Dug, u will find no sympathy here if your looking for any, you cheated, end of story. If i had my way people who cheated once on ANY game would be banned from all others for a length of time, but i dont, i'm 100% with blizzard on this one.

THe funny thing is that you hyprocitcal dipshits would be singing a different song if YOU had been banned for any reason.

Now, maybe not. Maybe you are the hardcore, morbidly obsese 35 year old part time tech consultant types who spend each waking hour cramming for how you are going to increase your BNet stats, and flipping out and writing complaint emails to blizzard each time someone you suspect of hacking beats you. Maybe you hate someone who hacked that much. And who could blame you ? Winning is your pathetic little life, and its all you've got...so I shouldn't hate you for that.

But try to realize that I did buy this game, and I am a customer also, and i DID play fair most of the time...So try to find some sense and realize that its not such a big deal (considering that its very easy to lose alot of the time even when you are hacking). If you are going to continue agreeing that I should not have access to patches, or that I should continue to be permanently banned from using my game, then whatever...I expect as much only from losers and hardcore nerds who figure that they are so l33t that any and all cheaters should be publically massacred so that they can avoid any threat to their oh so UBER score.

Grow up fellas, seriously. Its a game, take it as one. And try not to be such hypocrits because as I say..if you were in my situation you would definately have a different attitude. In fact, im sure that if blizzard banned you accidentally you would be the first to write them hate mail about how all the time away from ladder games had been ruining your precious Record Stats and that you would sue them for it, yadda yadda.

I make maps too btw, and i make them for the community as much as myself. Its not like im a jerk who doesnt contribute anything and only bitches about getting locked out of Bnet cus he knows he cant hack and ruin more ppls games. I need the access to westfall for ONE reason. Got it ... ONE. And that is the world editor which has updated features i need to complete the next version of my AOS map which im sure will be pretty widely enjoyed if I could get it done.

Oh i see, even though you cheated (and thus deliberatly ruined othe rpeople enjoyment of that game) you deserver to be able to keep downloading the free upgardes and cotent, because you are better than everyone else? You violated the rules, you knew you would face penalties for gettign caught, im pretty much glad blizz perma banned you, because to have banned your CD-key permanently you must of hacked repeatedly, and for that you got what you desevered.

But look at it this way, blizzard has the right to lock me out of Ladder games, fine but i dont see why they should be stopping me from updating my wc3 as well. It's THAT which i find so offensive. I have a great time making maps and mapping as well (which i do for a shitload of games not just this). I dont think you should stop at the age of 15...Keep going until your 50, hell its great fun i admit. But right now blizzard is in my personal doghouse (for whatever its worth). The thing i dont understand is how they could ban me permanently without me knowing, because i never got a warning ban...


By the way. I know you made a superhuman effort in your previous post to avoid spelling errors because you were criticizing me about mine (which obviously isn't perfect.) But couldn't ya have kept it up for your subsequent post?

You got caught cheating, deal with it. Be happy that you can still play at all. I've had a few sc keys banned from modding, but I accept that I was violating the EULA and they can do whatever they want.

As for the updater.. would this happen to be a batch file and mpq2k, or perhaps a 20 line proggy that just uses sfmpqapi? :P

I HATE cheaters. They are the egomaniacs who care for no-one but themselves. Cheating in singleplayer is alright. But when you play against other people who doesn't cheat, it's not fun anymore. Have you lost a game because somebody has cheated? You'll probably realize that it sucks. You may have bought the game and claim you have the rights to do what you please but remember that millions of others have also bought the game and plays on b.net to get some fun and challange. By cheating you're destroying gameplay for other players and provoke dozens of people and still you only care about a number with wins next to it. You're right, it's a game so it's not nessecary to WIN to have fun. If it is, then you're a moron. You will find no pity here, so shutup, before I ban you for provoking users.
