OK, In my map I have decided too make a custom set of buildings, units, and workers (which I have done before). When my peasent, however builds a building, it will appear and he will walk up to it but not start building it.. no matter if i right click the building. Heres some info- -He Has the ability Repair -Building only costs lumber -Build time is not 0 -He and the building are both human Please help... |

Kalar, I'm please to see that you know what usually causes the problem, and told us so in your original post. That will save a lot of time. Unfortunately, I can't think of anything else that might cause this. I guess it's possible that the building that you're trying to make has too large of a pathing map, and so the builder isn't able to get close enough to it to build it, but that seems unlikely. Also, I just want to check that the Race of both the building and the builder are human. I know you said that they were in your post, but it's possible that you based them off of the human unit and then changed the race. Unfortunately, unless you want to manually add the race-specific build ability via triggers after the map size, the unit's race needs to be Human. I assume yours is, but it's worthwhile asking. Otherwise, I'm afraid I've been of no help. I hope an answer emerges. |

aha! I had set powerbuild cost to 0.00, since I didn't want to be charged extra to assign multiple peasents.. but alas, it was causing the problem and i had to set it 0.01 :( |

there is an option under the units tab that specifies the requirements for buildings (on the editor menu, click view and uncheck all options except for pathing. this will make the option easier to find, because i can't remember off the top of my head the name of it.) now one of the options dictates terrain that the building cannot be built on. if you have buildable selected, your peon will walk up to the building and do nothing because it cannot be built on buildable terrain. this is mainly used for undead buildings, which need blight, or buildings that have to be placed in shallow water. anyhow, |
