isn't there a avatar/signature showoff thread? i hate your sig and av honestly your av is not something unseen and your sig is weird, i cant read it.

Don't use .bmp it takes too much space... use .gif or .jpg instead.

as for the sig and ava... I'm lukewarm... they are ok, but nothing special.

Make an ava that you can be proud of... not just something that almost anyone can do.

Indeed they are not real pieces of art (Im not a real artist myself), I just wanted something different from others and I did both with Windows Paint..

Well, I looked at my runic furthok and tried translating it to english and came up with a whole lot of gibberish. Some of the symbols, like the box on the right of the center line, and the "K" on the right on the bottom line, aren't even runes.

Anyway, here's what I got when I translated it.

S B S A I F (Z) J
(H) I B I I H (O)
I S L Z C F K S

All runes are to be read the same if they're inverted, like the first "S" on the first line and the last "F" on the last line. The (H) and (O) are apparently not real runes (according to the anglo-saxson furthok I'm using), so I translated them as cognates. Finally, the (Z) on the first line, I also didn't find a rune for, but I assumed the hyphenation (or I think that's what it is) on the rune designates it as a similar character, "Z" in this case, even though the rune for "Z" is quite clearly used later on.

Hmmm... It seems as if Undertow is quite versed in these runic things...

undertow: thats pretty impressive knowledge there, but the middle spells out the user's name in english....


albiino: get photoshop and dont ever use paint ever again! and save it as a .jpg to drop the filesize by about a bajillion.... anyways its a cool design, but honestly it looks kinda crappy. (which is of course paint's fault)

actually... no. I talked with Bob at www.taoofgaming.tk and he said it was ok...

Hmmm... I thought I was providing an insight. 'Never claimed to know what it said, just made a comment about the signature in comparison to actual runic.
