Help Me Please, Dumb Graphic Bug!

This really bugs me. Screw that, this PISSES ME OFF! :cuss: At a certian part in my world famous cinematics map the terrain and lightning both get warped. The terrain is broken off into squares and each square is using a different time of day lighting. I can't figure it out in any way, shape, or form! This really ruins the professional look of my map, and it's driving me CrAzY!

There is NO reason for this as far as I see. It happens at this one part where the camera is panning a fading simultaneously, but it pans and fades at several parts, and only this one causes problems. Might I add that I make this camera pan more than once and only this one friggin' time does it do squat! Is there som bug I don't know about, or some trigger to fix graphics? I already saved the shadow map too, so that ain't it! I'm also using no MPQ editing and I'm only using Blink.

Anyone who helps me will be added to my credits. Not to mention I'll shoot anyone who ever angers you for the next year!

Couple things to try:

1. Lower the terrain some and raise it again, so it looks just like it did before. It's possible just one x,y,z value inparticular is making it act wierd.

2. Make another camera, in the exact same position as the one you're using now. Use the original for the first pan, and the new one for second pan, and see if that fixes it.

3. Try placing some air units over it (shadows) and see if it's still happening, then post back.

Thanks for trying to help me and everything, but it was all for nothing. I tried all three steps you gave, plus I actually left the flat terrain as hills and I removed the pan from the trigger altogether. The Terrain STILL MESSED UP! Something besides the pan that happens at the exact time as the pan keeps F#ckin' with everything. I had this bug happen to me with one other map, which I quit working on due to several stupid bugs that seemed to have no cause. The only thing that both maps had in common at the bugged part was lots of periodic triggers and fades.

I don't want to spoil too much in my map, but the part that is going bad involves a bright, repeating flashing yellow light (Which is in every big moment in DBZ) which I do through periodic fades, and several other assorted special effects. These go on for a full 30 seconds without doing jack to the map, and then at this one F#CKING point, everything goes to hell! I thought that it may have been the pan, since that is approximatly when the problem starts, but it must just get warped due to time or something.

Hell to add to my problems, I can't get a working yellow fade! 100/100/0. looks green, 100/70/0 looks orange, and anything in between looks greenish Orange. And if I add even 1 to blue the whole fade turns blue. This MAY be related to the lighting going psycho. The funny part is: I've got the time of day locked at midnight. I can't see why the lighting would go all stupid on me.

Have I mentioned that I elict the absolute weirdest bugs in existence? My old computer repair guy swore that my computers were haunted (and I'm not making that up either!)

Oh, and in case anybody is thinking this: I changed my resolution, no effect.

Help me please, get your name in the greatest movie map of all time.

1. Try inserting tiny waits inbetween your fades, like 0.1 seconds, for some reason this tends to fix really wierd bugs.

2. Try _not_ locking the time and see if you have the same problem.

3. If you're using normal cinematic filters, try the advanced ones.

I finally found the problem :ggani: ! Even before DataAngel advised me to unlock time I decided to test things to "Unbug" the map. One of the things I tried was switching to normal Cinematic Mode and back again, which did nothing, but when I tried to set the time of day to noon and then back to midnight everything looked right for a brief second, and then went bad again. I had finally found the answer. I ran the Movie with the Time of Day being noon and it worked perfectly!

Long story short: There is some bug with fades and nighttime. I don't have a fuggin' clue why, but all fade colors are darkened at night, and this messes with the appearance of your terrain. :kaioken:

Thanks to everyone who helped (Mostly that Nilithak loving DataAngel). The final movie is about 85% done, and short of God's intervention I should have it done by saturday. I'm planning a massive slim down on file size, but I'm betting it'll still be too large for WC3Campaigns. DanMage1 has agreed to host the file, assuming I can get it to him (Hotmail and their stupid attachment size cap :( ) My newest plan would involve somebody with Kazaa or Imesh to directly download it from me using them and TEN post it on thier home page. I need someone to tell my that they will do it and we need to set a time (And for God's sake, let's set a time in the Eastern Timezone, since I'm too lazy to convert :sweatdrop )
