...Why doesn't this belong in the forum? It's a map in development, so I don't see what the problem is. Again, it's a map in development, and regardless of how bad or good it may sound, it belongs here, and he has right to post it here. Anyways, the map sounds like a normal open rpg, there just doesn't seem to be enough to set it apart from others. However, it can still be a solid game, so just go for it. :D |

Sounds like a decent enough idea, but here are a few suggestions. First: Fordge is not a word. Unless this is somehow a play on the words 'Forge' (Where a smith works) and 'Ford' (A place to cross a river, or a car brand), I suggest you change it. Also, if you're going to make the map in English, do it properly. I've included a list of the obvious spelling mistakes in your post: You'll find a few things to look out for here.
Next, you might want to give the heroes some more interesting names: Your map will stand out more if it doesn't have the 976th 'Archer' hero and the 2418th 'Warrior' hero. Consider things like Sharpshooter, Marksman, Swordsman, etc, etc... And finally, please put some effort into it: Nothing makes me (and probably others, as well) leave a game as quickly as seeing something along the lines of "tHESES HEROE HAS TEH AGILITIE'S IN TEH HIGH'S AND SUPAR SPEL'S11!' for hero descriptions. There are way too many maps, many of them open RPG's, out there that suffer from this kind of problem. |

I agree with all of your points, I also hate when maps are half assed :o |

Come on, chillax fellas. You're making it hard just to tell the community about a map. Take it easy, nothing to have a heart attack about. Anyway, just a few suggestions. As mentioned before, correct spelling is important for maps — and grammar, hehe. Otherwise it looks unprofessional, I guess you could say. Make sure to add some new aspect to the game that hasn't been done before. If you make a map with things people already have seen, it's more likely that they will find it repetitive. So try to come up with new ideas in there. Now for my questions. What is the objective of the game? What are some things that you can do, and where are some places you can go? |

Good points, good points. But don't make this place where only die-hard-hardcore-elitist map makers dare to tell of their projects, try to remember that everyone had to start from somewhere. Question: Did you plan to make something for the camera, or will you keep the basic WC3 game camera? |
