Currently We Were Sinpers is in Beta Testing form for v1.0. All that remains to be finished before a final relelase of We Were Snipers v1.0 is the introduction cinematic needs to be fixed. Items are 100% complete. Abilities are 100% complete. Triggers are 100% cmplete. Terrain is 100% complete. Cintemaic is 75% complete. I say 75% because it needs some serious pzazz added to it. Also, doesn't work properly yet either. Other than that however, the map is finshed. If the demand is there, I can upload the public beta instead of doing random tests online myself. However, release time is drawing very very near. Better buckle your seat belts kiddies. |

Aside from basic bug fixes in the upcoming v1.1 patch. Ideas for v2.0 (not to be released for a while) are on the drawing board. I had a few good ideas here and there. One of them being improving the horribly boring intro cinematic to make it less painful to watch. But I felt it a good idea to ask you, the players, what you would like to see included in the next version. So, what would you like to see in v2.0? All ideas are welcome and you will recieve credit for ideas that I use. Not all ideas need to be new features, if something other than the camera bothers you and you think you have a way to improve it. By all means, post it. Since this thread is locked to keep the development updates clean and easy to read, please create a new thread with a title related to v2.0 ideas (ex: "v2.0 ideas"). Or if someone has already created a thread you could just add your ideas in there (to help keep the forum clean). This isn't an attempt to let the fans come up with all the ideas. I already have a growing list of ideas for v2.0. I just think it important to know what you would like to see. Again, all ideas are welcome (except chase cam changes, cause that's not happening). |

Today the 1.15 patch was released, so We Were Snipers v1.1 will be finished within the next 48 hours. Why download this version? What does it include? Well, there is a small bug fix related to upgrading your gun and kevlar. In v1.0, if you had max level and you purchased an upgrade, you would recieve a reciept that you could sell for double your money back. Also, you could buy enless numbers of kevlar suits. v1.1 fixes this bug. In addition v1.1 will remove a few custom files that were used to prevent units from showing up on the mini map. With the new feature included in the 1.15 WE I can remove these files now. Finally, the text that shows up when a player kills another player will follow the ally colour codes. So you can more easily tell what team is killing what team. All these changes and fixes (and many more not mentioned) will be present in v1.1, so be sure to come by and download it when it's completed. You can read the full list of changes in the readme when you dl the map. |

My deepest appologies for not releasing v1.1 on time. Life has been getting in the way and I keep making a few minor adjustments. As it stands now, all that is left to do is work out a bug with a new hint system. Once that's done, the new version will be ready to play. So percentage wise I'd say that v1.1 is about 95% complete. Expect it to be released shortly. |

Well, after several month of transferring jobs and being distracted by life. I have been inspired to fix the growing number of small glitches and imperfections from We Were Snipers v1.1. In addition to simply fixing things, I've also changed they way a few things work and added a feature to the beginning of the map. I'm going to keep the exact details under wraps for now. I'll tell you this much. Very 1.2 is about 75% completed at the moment and you should expect an official release within the next couple days. Also expect a full list of changes and bonuses with the new release. **EDIT** My appologies. I went to a wedding and this took, well four days of possible work time on WWS. I thought I still had a week then realised a little too late. New plan is to release a Beta either today or tomorrow. The beta will run for 7 - 14 days depending on how much feedback I get. Then final touches will but added to the patch and then the final release of 1.2. |
