I recommend you give the "shadow" unit movement type Hover and set its movement height to some tiny amount off the ground.

I'm given to understand that footprints are an event left by the model whenever it gets to a certain point in its animation. But they shouldn't be left if it's not touching the ground.

Your signature is nearly a megabyte.

I don't notice it, but other people might.

So please, try to conserve,

Could you possibly be a little more specific? Did you set the movement type to Hover and the movement height to different values to see if any worked?

I have tried all of movement types!
And set movement height to 100 or more ~~
But the footprint appears under the foot all the time! If the unit is in the sky, then the footprint is in the sky!

I do not have any method now....
Even I do not know what this footprint is on earth !

B4 Chinglish ~~
Actually not matter, but this sample now was come to watch, because unit's too many footprints were very dense , so too ugly ......

Try to give the shadow unit a model of unit not making any footprints, i.e air units, shades, wisps, Lich.

However, this is not the result that I hope, the incomplete shadow of a unit should be a look of this unit!

Is the footprint a part of unit's model? How to delete?

A footprint is spawned by the model but is a model in itself. You could replace the footprint model with a new blank one (but that would cause nothing to have footprints) or you could edit the Jaina model to not generate them (resulting in a big import size).

Best thing would probably be to import another jaina model, with the single change that it doesn't leave footprints, and just use that. Wouldn't be too large, either.
