I come home from school, open we and "Cdrom drive error, please make sure you have the cd in your drive and click retry" Ok, then the same thing happened when i open wc3. I restart my comp, run a ton of detection software, and I still get the message. Now, my comp recognizes the cd, it even launches the autorun, but keeps poping up that damn message when i try to open wc3 or we. does anyone know why? this happened out of nowhere and i didnt change anything, dl anything, or even reboot my comp beforehand! and I can't reinstall because i just found out my damn cd key peeled off of the case! i sent an email to blizzard, but who knows when they'll reply. Does anyone here have any info? |

Do you have any younger siblings with grey residue on their teeth? if you are on WIndows XP, try a system restore. |

Did you run an anti-virus program or did Blizzard send you this in an email!? If yes, then I have this virus too...since summer last year! I never knew what to do against it, I always reinstalled war3 and then it worked with some luck or not... in the end I just used a crack for it! -.- |

Lovely how you try to derep me. Your CD Key is embedded into one of your MPQ's. I forget which. Go find it with an MPQ viewer. |

Lol, well it's only fair, you could derep me too! This shit is a smart and I mean smart virus! So far, the only dumb thing i've noticed is the fact it corrupts aol.exe, but not waol.exe. Thank god that norton antivirus has a preinstall scan so that the virus wont corrupt it during installation! I hope this works out, I really don't want to reformat my drive! |

aye viruses suck. they suck so much that they make me want to get a mac... :\ |

Yeah... but just remember... most wc3 tools are not developed for the mac because people think that not many people use them... that's why you don't see me doing random crap. Cd key peeled off cd case? WTF? If you have friends... I suggest you find some new ones... I think someone here knows which MPQ the key is located in... they might send you a PM and be helpful... or you could just search for the answer on google. icbm1987 |
