Is there a way to exceed the set texture space limit in WE? Yes, i still use WE. i have tried other editors, but i really didn't get into them. |

Using WE Unlimited you can get a few more tiles (the tiles that cost two only cost one there), but you can't in any other way. Once you've exceeded WE Unlimited's limit, the map will just crash. |

There is a way to use more textures in a map, using the normal WE, but you loose texture quality. Just crop all textures that are 512x256 (like grass) to 256x256. That way the textures will have only 2 variations. But you will be able to enter 12 different textures. Also, you could replace the undead blight with some other texture. NOTE: This method makes your filesize bigger because you have to import the edited textures. |

Sounds good. i think i will try it. Something odd happened last night as well. I was editing my tileset (Dalaran) and the black marble tile (which is suppose to place under the purple cliff tile) was being placed on top of all other ground textures. It is not supose to do that. Any answers? |

To change that, go to Advanced -> Modify Tileset, and move it to the Left/Right Everything to the left of a tile will go UNDER it. Everything to the right of a tile will go OVER it. So if you want the tile to go over top of everything, move it all the way to the right. Conversly, if you want it under everything, move it all the way to the right. If you want it to go over only the Grass, and under everything else, put the tile on the far left, then take the grass tile and put it to the left of that tile. Ta-Da, Over the grass, under everything else. Keep in mind, doing that will also make Grass go under everything except the tile. It takes some doing to get an order you like, but it looks good when you finally get it right. If you'd like a more detailed explanation, let me know, I will take some screenshots of various effects and show you what I mean. --DoCa |

Just call me Master NooB! Thanks Doca. I'll try that when i get home. What is a good tool to use to extract the ground texture files out of the WE file? |
