Sorry, I'm a triggering n00b, so if this question seems obvious enough, forgive my n00blyness
I dled some of these
http://www.campaigncreations.org/war...achments.shtml
And am looking to attach a weapon, a hat, and wings to a unit (all the same unit, at the start of the map)
Can someone help me as to the correct steps to take to do so?
I see how you can do it using an item, as shown in the tutorial, but I need to do it without the item. Just, the unit starts with it.
Thanks much

Heh. I'd forgotten all about that site.

Elapsed time = .01
Special effect - Add [special effect] to unit attached to [hand] or [hand left]

I think that's what you're lookin for.

Yea, that's something like it.
But I was trying to get it done by creating the Orc Battle Standard as a "Ability - Normal" for the unit I want to have the effects.
Do I need to program in a special effect trigger anyway?

type in the place where it says effect on or something and type "origin"

Right, but I don't want the chara to have to pick up an item in order to have the effect.

Then you use what I gave you. I don't see what you don't understand about that. Orc battle standard is an ability you give to the item and [i think u can] give it to a unit. The best way is still to use my first post.

Sometimes in long games, the special effects you create disappear. I don't know why, but they do.

When I do weapon attachments and similar things, I create a skill based on the skill sphere. I just replace the spheres with whatever the attachment should be and set teh number to 1.

Sphere is a really fun skill to add to guys.

Also, if you ahve multiple units you want to put the same attachment on, you don't have to make a complex trigger to add it to them. Just give each unit the custom skill in the object editor.

I have a "Glow Pack" that has the little glows heroes have around their feet that I add this way. It's a great way to make custom heroes without having to edit the models/skins/whatever to put in the glows.
