That's a matter of redoing the model, not the skin :>

It was removed using alpha channels. Black = gone White = not gone.

ah, found it, here's a tutorial i made on it, and i'll try to find the link for the targa plug-in

Ok, because of all of the people asking about Alpha channels and stuff, I have decided to make a tutorial on it... it is going to be as simple as i can make it too... and if any mods out there like this and want to sticky and lock it, then please go ahead.

Ok, first off, this is for Photoshop, so if you dont have that, then you might as well leave.

Note: I am using version 7, so i dont know how other versions will effect this

Supplys Needed
Adobe Photoshop
The Targa plug in found here
and the Targa plug in installed correctly

What To Do
Once you have your skin loaded in photoshop, you will have to switch to the alpha view

This is where the different paths are, as you can see it is under channels, and the Alpha part is the one that is circled

All you need to do now, is click on the Alpha part, so that it looks like this

The Next Step
Now, to start working on it. (Black and White are the only two colors needed here)

To Delete somthing you will need to color it black (Alpha out)

To Add somthing in, you will need to color that area white. (Alpha In)

There are some things, however, that cannot be alphaed out, and to get rid of them involves editing the modle.

Well, i hope this helps, PM me, or IM me if there is somthing else on this topic that you need help with.

Oh, and thanks to Kain, he was the one to help me, even if you didnt know it
