Well I was just wondering, how exactly do you change a unit's portrait? You know, when you click on it, it has the picture in the bottom middle. I use the Object Editor mostly.. can't find it anywhere. Just trying to make my first map without any advanced modelling or anything.. just to get used to it, then I'll start branching off. More specifically, I have a wall structure unit.. horizontal and vertical.. as well as a gate unit.. but the portraits are zoomed in and look awful. I'd like to change it. Some somewhat simple instructions would be nice, considering I'm somewhat new. Have all the editing programs. Any help would be much appreciated! |

extract the model and the portrait you want and rename them...we'll use the Blademaster's model and Arthas' portrait for example: BladeMaster.mdx >>>(Rename)>>> JohnDoe.mdx Arthas_Portrait.mdx >>>(Rename)>>> JohnDoe_Portrait.mdx that's how to change portrait's...now for what you're asking is some mdl editing...i think. there is a place in the mdl that you can change the camera views but i'm not sure where or how to change them. just wait for Cookie or Xaran to come and tell you how to do that part. |

you must convert a mdx into a mdl file... |

Then open it in Notepad... |
