Hope to god no one who works for the makers of UT2004 sees this. Otherwise your ass is dead. It's illegal, as the stuff is copywrited. Putting into a map for someone else's program is not really good for your wallet. It's not worth the risk of getting sued for millions of pounds. |

They won't sue. He is putting it in a map, if ANYTHING they would like him to do that. So, no worries. He's not selling it for money... |

They probably won't sue, but it's important to note that what he proposes to do is illegal, and Blizzard might not like their game medium being using the store illegal data. Basically, I seriously doubt anyone will care, but there's always a chance, so do it at your own risk. If you really want to do this even with the issues, I suggest asking in the Sound Forum. |

erm, seriously, if I use their sounds, whats illegal? I could also open d2 sounds with mpq and import them into my maps (illegal???) My only prob is, how to OPEN it... The Demo was free for me, so I get the sounds and other stuff for free, so I wont get punished for "giving it free" in my maps, will I? :\ Look @Dota, famous map » Sounds from UT2k4 ... I guess I wont get a serious answer here... all discuss about illegal or legal... |

The legality of using copyright data without the owner's permission is entirely serious. Using Diablo 2 soundtracks is also illegal, but I think that Blizzard wouldn't mind at all because they created both games. Ask in the sound forum if you want it badly. |
