Hey, I was wondering how or even if I can modify the spell tinting (i.e. Red, Blue, Green). I am trying to make Chain Lightning turn red. Anybody have a clue how to do this? Or do I need to actually modify the art. *sigh* I hope not. Thanks in advance, -Drag |

For that particular spell, make the Art for Chain Lightning use the Finger Of Death one, it's red. |

What if you wanted the lightning to be green, black, purple, or colors that weren't already available? I'm also curious if you can change spell tint, or attack tints for that matter. |

Well for the lightning effect you have to change a skin that is somewhere in the mpq, and for special effects, the only ways are mdl editting or creating a unit with that model instead of showing the effect |

Okay, I changed the art... but now I cant find the ability in the abilities section. Whereas earlier I was able to make custom abilities and use find them on the abilities list... but now I cant find the spell I just made. I cant even see if it works! Is there something I"m not doing right? |

>Click Here< to find out exactly how to make chain lightning red. All you need is notepad and the lightning.slk file provided at the site. This only works for lightning effects such as Finger of Death, Healing Wave, and Life Drain though. |

Did you change the classification of the spell (i.e. from Hero to Unit, or vice versa)? You might just not be looking in the right area. JJ912, since 1.13, you can change the lightning art for spells that use lightning. There's a field for it towards the top of the ability in the Object Editor. |

Oh, yeah I know that the tutorial uses it. I made a blood red life drain spell(just the stream, got rid of the swirls) and kept normal Life Drain green. |
