looks pretty cool, but you could try shading or adding a little color to the total black. It looks a bit flat that way.

nope. The ninjas where black colored, and didint really have other colors... so i keep him as he is :> i think he already has things that lighten him up already..and shading black is alittle to hard

No he means that ninjas wore black, but nothing is solid flat black u need highlights and shadows and folds in the fabrick. If u wear a black shirt you have folds and dtuff and even if u dont the sun/celling fan/lamp above u is hinning light on ur shoulders.
Try looking at ur clothes for refrence or look up ninjas under images on yahoo/google.

shading black isn't that hard, you just need to use a greyish color to exentuate features/wrinkles in the fabric. But it's your skin.

HAHA.
1:If u dont take advice from the people here ull get no where.
2:This has to be the 8 Ninja Bladesmaster ive seen.
3:Try looking at all the other skins and see how many in the top ten are solid colors.

I was only trying to help you. Why dont u go look at the to en under models and see whos there. Im not a mean person but sum one needs to set u straight. Its good u have confidance in ur work but not good if u let it keep u from improving ur skills.
DONT BE COCKY

Dodge and burn don't work on solid colors =) This needs lots of shading. Lots. and I still don't like it.

you can tell from the portrait that there wasn't much done w/ the face
he's just really black, that's all i can say, you can use some wrinkles in the skin to make it look more like its clothing
