Hello everyone, Since Warcraft 3's only slightly evil looking variation of the Golem is the crappy looking Flesh Golem, I was wondering if anyone here might be willing to try making an evil version of one Golems for everyone to use. For my idea, I was thinking of something along the lines of a modified Rock Golem skin, but with the Rock texture either very ashy and gray or similar to that of the blighted ground with some green runes and stains upon it to give it the appearence of something decays, with maybe obsidian fists and / or spikes jutting from the shoulders, and the design on the face replaced with that of a pale white skull design? This would be a great asset to my map, and I would be very grateful if someone managed to make this. Thanks for reading. - Lazurus |

Alot harder than you'd think, the whole model uses only two textures, and one of them is only for the head. A tiny rune on that texture and your whole golem will have tiny runes all over him. Oh well... heres something I could do... Magma Rock Golem Download ![]() |

Whoa, that looks very nice Xeno. Thanks for explaining about the Golem skin, I had no idea that was how it worked. I'll have to use this Golem for something on my map. :) On a side note though, do you think it would be possible to make an Obsidian (Shiny & Black) Golem with a pale whitish face texture, or would this not be possible? As an additional reference, I'll provide a picture of an obsidian rock below, though it probably wouldn't help much. http://www.newage.com.au/crystalcree...s/obsidian.jpg Oi, I can't thank you enough for the Magma Golem though, I'll be sure to contribute to your reputation as a thanks, it is the least I could do. :) - Lazurus |

No probs, glad I could help. I'll start working on the obsidian golem some time today. Quote:
Actually, I am. I've only started skinning WarCraft III units around a month ago (if that). However, I have been doing web & graphic design for over 4 years now, so I can't really say I'm not experienced in this area :P. Anyway, drop by my workshop some time, let me know what you need and I'll do my best to help you out :). |
