terrain

Latly I'm working on terrains, becuse I started to be intrensted in the terrain creation. I started making some cities maps, and I want to know where I can find an exemple for a good city map?

The creation of a map in War3 is like any constructive activity - it requires imagination. I can't do terrain for shit, but that's because my creativity is horrible. There are a couple of city maps in the campaigns though (like the one where you take arthas and his army to kill a bunch of zombies in this city) That's a good one.

Yeah, it is, I was wondering where I can see one of the City maps people made, becuse I saw many nice screenshots around...

Most of the maps with cities in it are smal roads with buildings literally built one on top of the other. The effect looks like an apartment building or something, but these people do that for EVERY village, with EVERY building! Many people forget about the fact that some houses have yards. The annoying trend is the cluttering of building doodads to make a city.

The moral: Don't fall into this trend. If you want to make a city map, use some artistic talent, and remember about "negative space" as a tool as well (aka the part with nothing in it is still a part of the picture as a whole and is just as important as the parts with stuff in it)
