Hey Everyone ! Making Maps Very Easy ! Using triggers fairly Easy ! Changing skins for existing models Very easy ! Need some help with skinning models ? So here is the question, I have found it is possible to copy a existing model lets say HeroDemonHunter.mdx and rename it to HeroDemonBunny.mdx and you can import that model and it works, my problem is that I want to change the skin that new model uses, the Default path for that skin on the model is (Textures\HeroDemonHunter.Blp) I want to change that path to read (Textures\HeroDemonBunny.Blp) but I am unable to find a way is there a way to change the skin path a model uses and rename it or copy it or what 3d program will I have to use and how would I do it ? o_O |

hi ! first, download Yobgul converter then, install it, run it, load the HeroDemonBunny.mdx and convert this one to HeroDemonBunny.mdl then, open the mdl with the... argh damned, how do you say this word in english ? :\ not wordpad... the... the "blocnote" in french ^_^ then, first, quit Yobgul (you will open it later), and search in the mdl the bitmap who contains "Textures\HeroDemonHunter.Blp" and replace it by "Textures\HeroDemonBunny.Blp" save the mdl (not "save as") and reopen Yobgul load the new HeroDemonBunny.mdl and convert this one to HeroDemonBunny.mdx if I haven't done mistakes, it should works :D |

(If you mean that the program you use to extract models only has the ROC models, this must be because you have loaded the default mpq (war3.mpq). To access the TFT models, load the war3x.mpq (all mpq's are in your WarcraftIII directory), there is also an mpq for patches). |
