I finally bit the bullet and upgraded to 1.03. I had been using the lastest versions of GoldenUrg's triggers and the advanced editor. Before I upgraded, I deleted my UI and Units directories (which contain all of the alterations made by the enhancements) lest that conflict with my patching somehow. When the patching was complete, I installed nicoli_s's new 1.03-compatible patch (which also incorporates GoldenUrg's triggers and Andvanced WE), by copying the two directories in the patch (UI and Units) into my WC3 directory. Only problem is that they didn't take. A map with a "dialog with hotkeys" wouldn't load claiming an unknown trigger and I couldn't make maps of 32x32, which indicates to me that neither enhancement had taken. I reverted to the previous "UI" files contained in my older WE advanced + GU installation, and the map opens perfectly now. So I have two questions. First, why didn't the newest patch work, and second, are there consequences of simply leaving this older version of both enhancements as it is? |

The only thing is your Unit Sounds might be a little funky. That's the only thing I can think of. Other than that I don't know. But try just overwriting the old 1.02 WEEB files rather than deleting them and putting the new ones in, because that's what I did, and mine works like a charm. The only thing I noticed though is on mine Attack 2 model doesn't show as a string. |
