Im trying to import an existing wc3 model into 3D max, then edit out a weapon. I could really use a step by step example on how I would do this correctly. I can get the model into max but when I export it out, the model lacks all animation and dosent show up right :( |

If you deleted vertices you must not do that you first gotta select all vertices of the weapon and then scale it down to nothing.... |

Ive done some more reading and was able to get rid a of a riflemans gun:) I tryed doing a marine afterwards and can't seem to get rid of it at all. These were my steps: •Import marine into max •Select and scale down gun •Move into body •Export as .Mdx •Convert to .Mdl •Copy the vertices from Geosets all the way down to Tvertices •Then paste these over the original Mdl •Then finally convert the original Mdl to a Mdx This worked for the rifleman (although he dosent have a portrait:/), but the marines gun will still show up as normal. Did I forget to do anything? |

You made a big mistake never copy and paste normals or tvertices always only paste vertices.... |

I didnt paste the Tvertices, thats where I stopped. As for the normals, I was just going by another tutorial that said to copy them. |
