This map is SwEeT but it does have its flaws... (like almost every map) it can get laggy. its also kinda hard ajusting the camera. i messed around with that god forsaken camera for like 5 minutes intill i got it right where i wanted it. The system of cover is pretty cool to, no cover, poor cover, good cover, and exelant cover. i just always hide in a cratar when im on defence, the guy just walk up right next to me and i waste them. bruahahah i give this map a 7.8/10 |

I'd like to start off by thanking your for the feedback. It's always good to hear what people think of your maps. And while I can understand the issue you presented with the camera, I can't change it for the next version, and I'll explain why. While I agree that the camera is difficult to adjust to in the beginning. Once you get used to it, you'll find it actually improves gameplay, making it more interesting. With a regular game camera you can see all around your hero making sneaking up on someone near impossible. With the chase cam in We Were Snipers, you can easily sneak up on a much larger group of players and (if you have the skill) kill them all. If you can't kill them all then at the very least get more than your share of kills from the confrontation. Not to boast but, I have single handedly taken out an entire team of 5 people (while on the attack) using stealth and the a large array of items available (flares, grenades, sniper ammo). So you can see how the camera adds to the game by making teamwork more important to cover each others flanks. Sorry to defend the camera so religously but this is the one thing that I almost can't bring myself to change as it is one of the things that really helps make the game what it is. And thank you for the complement on the cover system. This is another element of the map that adds strategy to the gameplay. Taking cover when under fire or retreating can make the difference of killing or being killed. Aside from the lag, were there any elements that you thought needed changed? Items too costly or too powerful, etc? I would love to get feedback of this sort to help with changes for the next patch. Thanks again. |

lol, ya i know that the camera is somewhat easy to use after sum exp. I actualy have plenty of exp with cameras, i make maps. I think what makes this a good map is the HUGE amount of detail, the cover, the items, the icons, the camera, differnt types of ammo, the list just goes on and on.. such a great map, lol one question though.. was it made with triggers or jass? |

One thing that could be adjustible for next version is to change the starting-camera-position to a favored value (one that would be found out by asking multiple people, that is, what is the most user-friendly camera position). ~Cubasis |

I really really like this map, everything seems to work fine, including the camera once you mess around with it for a while. One thing that always annoys my is how you start facing the wrong direction. I found it hard to turn around in this game, and so a starting position facing the other direction would be useful, or maybe even a button that would turn your hero around (not instantly because then you couldnt surprise people, but maybe over 1.5 seconds) |

Originally in the beta, you hero would face the proper direction. I found, however, that new players never saw or knew that the merchant exsisted. And so would run out of ammo, and get frustrated and quit. So I changed it to it's current state, where you always start off facing the merchant. So you know that he exsists and where to find him. Also, starting facing him allows you to more easily purchase stuff at the beginning of each round. I was thinking about how annoying it is to have to turn around every time you don't feel like buying anything (which is usually often). And so, once the map gains in popularity and more people know how to play. I'll release a version where you don't face the merchant. And rely on experienced players to tell the new players where to find him. |

The camera angles kind of make it hard to tell which way is which. However, I agree that the game wouldnt be the same with the regular wc3 camera |

You should really get rid of the auto attacking...it's kinda sad if you sneak from behind and then he stands still and starts shooting you |

Well, the auto attack is only at a range of 450. So you need to get really close to him for that to happen. In which case you'd have tons of time to start attacking him, upto 1800 didstance. However, I'll see what I can do. I might reduce the auto attack range a bit. Or who knows, I might even prevent people from seeing behind them. |
