Hi, can anyone tell me how to get the portrait file (name_portrait.mdx) to work properly? I've read all these tutorials and none of them seem to touch on portraits =( sorry for this very newb question, but i've been spending a long time trying to get the portrait to work, everything else works tho... thanks |

the portrait's name must match the model's name... examples: Arthas.mdx & Arthas_Portrait.mdx Scirocco.mdx & Scirocco_Portrait.mdx hope that answers your question... |

In your model scene, add a target camera pointing towards the face of your model. Export it that way. Now just name it yourunitname_portrait.mdx. Import and voila. |

well, if your model has a path then use the same for the portrait... btw, what model are you trying to do this to? |

oh, im trying to import the "haremgirl" model by...razorclawx (or something like that) ya, that model has the path "units\human\haremgirl" and the files are: haremgirl.mdx heroharemgirl.mdx haremgirl_portrait.mdx heroharemgirl_portrait.mdx haremgirl.blp so what i did is to put them all in my "warcraft3\image\haremgirl\" folder, and put the skin file in "warcraft3\image\haremgirl\units\human\haremgirl\" folder. Using WE, i imported the all the file and changed the path of the skin to the path above. Everything works fine except for the portrait =( So I see the model in game, but it has no portrait... did i do something wrong? |

OMG i just figured it out, (lol right after i put that detailed reply) turns out i just needed to set the path as "war3mapimported\" for both the model and the portrait. Anyway thx a lot for all the help =) |
