What exactly does WARNING: "This map has been damaged by a 3rd party application. People call this protecting the map." mean? Does it mean you can' use it, can't edit it, it can mess up WC III, or what? |

Are you serious. Read what you just posted. People call this protecting the map. Map. Protected. Protected Map. Hmm, tick tock? |

I bet if you tryed to open a protected map, you'll get that error. Dont worry, theres no damage to the file or to you cd/program. People protect their multiplayer map to prevent people from stealing the code and/or the art, several peoples like to change the author and map name... |

Yup, just think of it as: This map is protected. It's just that Darky is against protection, thus the harsh comment, heh. :P ~Cubasis |

Yah I used the high level 2 protector with w3m map utilities, and it said that. Hopefully nobody takes the MAP IS DAMAGED part seriously. |

Actually I agree to the fact that it should say "This map is heavylocked" instead of this map is protected by a 3rd party, blahb |

i can see how darky hates map protection, i mean cmon, if we could remove all the map stealing-trigger bashing-game riggings bastards out of bnet, then we wouldnt hafta protect our maps (dont start flame on this) anyways, i just leave protected maps alone, and try and find a good one which i can learn offa |

Haha; actually, I've had a protected map or two fail on me when running it in the game ... |

Even though i have a super-love for getting replies like this. I could tell that much, the word damage through me off. I know how to break most locks i just didn't want to download stuff if it no longer worked. Like the Lu commenting that some protected maps didnt work. No more replies are necessary unless from Darky. |

The irony of it is, despire Darky leaving his maps open, he screws the list files, so you cant steal the imports, which is 50% of the point of protecting a map anyway. |
