5 race option at dl screen h,o,u,n,Demon?

Does anyone know how to add a race to the species selection option at the dl screen. I know it is possible to rename, but i want to add 1 or more. In the trigger system there is an condition when a player race is Demon so i assume it is possible.

You can't. 4 is the maximum, so you're going to have to take one of them out.

To be more precise, you *can* actually add a fifth race to the selection list but trying to select it simply won't have any effect. WC3 won't respond to something that isn't by design meant to be there.

Of course it isn't possible for it to have an effect without playing with the game mechanics. But as I've already stated, it *is* possible to add it. I've done it myself. So have a number of other people. One person added about six races. They didn't actually do anything, but it was a very pretty screenshot. Maybe if you did a search yourself, you'd have seen that, eh? :).

My own addition to the thread was merely a clarification on what *is* and *isn't* achievable. It didn't detract at all from what was already stated, it simply clarified certain things to avoid potential deviations of thought.

What did you do or edit to add the races? I assume you have to edit one of the .slk's or .txt's, but which one?

It's in Game Interfaces.

If you do not need the random selection, then you can use that one for the fifth race.
