Hey, just looking for some feedback on the first part I've done of my map, Sindekhor Village. This village will be placed somewhere along the track in my RPG. Let me know what you think :). As you can see it's rather small, but I haven't fully finished it yet. EDIT: I uploaded the images to IMGSpot because angelfire was being shitty. http://www.IMGSpot.com/uploads/Sindekhor_1.jpg http://www.IMGSpot.com/uploads/Sindekhor_2.jpg http://www.IMGSpot.com/uploads/Sindekhor_3.jpg http://www.IMGSpot.com/uploads/Sindekhor_4.jpg http://www.IMGSpot.com/uploads/Sindekhor_5.jpg http://www.IMGSpot.com/uploads/Sindekhor_6.jpg http://www.IMGSpot.com/uploads/Sindekhor_7.jpg http://www.IMGSpot.com/uploads/Sindekhor_8.jpg http://www.IMGSpot.com/uploads/Sindekhor_9.jpg --- If you can't see any images below here, click the links above --- ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

What the hell are you talking about? Are you stating that I used Angelfire to host the images? Or that you have trouble viewing them? Bloody hell I hate it when people expect others to read their minds. I've editted the first post for those having trouble viewing the images... |

It still displays "image hosted by angelfire" even when I cut and paste. |

Angelfire isn't a very good webhost. It doesn't allow direct linking and it goes down sometimes too. Use www.photobucket.com. It's free, allows direct linking, and has never gone down in all my time using it. |

This is really nice terrain. ts got a great feel of the jungle, i wouldnt have expected those houses to look good with that terrain but they do. a nice uses of plato's as well. the only think i can suggest is perhaps fill those open bits with something (the parts with flowers) more, like rubble (ruins). also, exapand on it. i want to se more of this village :D |

never use angelfire anyways, it seems a little too ....forest filled to be a village, try decreasing some of the plants/rocks/trees. |

thats the whole charm of the village. the people there dont seem to farm anything, so may there all hunters or merchants either way, theyve got no real reason to cut down trees unless theyre on the paths |

yes, i agree, it feels like a jungle, something very hard for me to get in WE when i'm terraining. Anyway, i like the use of light, i wonder if any of you guys considering using KDE's light sources? |

I see some floating doodads on the 6th screenie. The rocks at the near top are floating. And the shrubs to the left of it are floating too. |

Fixed, it's because rocks have the bottom of them alpha'd out, so what you were seeing was the bottom of the rock and sky going through it, anyway it's fixed. I added shrubs to the ground of the rock and now it looks fine. I also removed the floating shrubs and added new ones which aren't floating. |

I think there's too much vegetation, but what can you expect from a jungle? Otherwise exelent work! :D |

Do never! I repeat do NEVER show the end of your map! And don't take pics that shows the area witch you haven't terrained, because those two things remove the feeling of being realistic. And as mentioned, you got some floaters (Oh, you've fixed them, duh). But it's hard to tell if the village is civilized or not, becuase if you look at the houses there are plants and stuff just outside the door, and if people would have lived there they sure would have removed them, but on the other hand the lanterns are glowing like theres someone in the houses, thats kinda wierd, in my opinion. Anyway its quite good! 4½ out of 10! |
