I've come up with a hero that is part machine, part demon (flesh). It seemed like a good idea to base the hero off the felguard. So, I attempted a little editing on the felguard skin. So far I have changed the arm. As you can see, it is all metal. I think the arm is ok, my 2d skils arent so hot, but as the chest area... I'm kinda stumped. I cant get a good idea in my mind what I want the chest to look like. I know for sure I want it to be metal plates with exposed, brownish/reddish flesh in between gaps. But I just cant draw it! Any good ideas? I posted the skin so far is here in case anyone would like to take a stab at it. This isn't really a request for a skin per se, but if anyone feels compelled to flesh the idea out I would be super happy to see it! :D Otherwise, suggestions are very welcome. :8 |

Ok, I've worked on the skin for another hour. Here is what I have been able to come up with so far. Only thing I dislike about it is that the skin dosent look convincingly "decaying", like undead flesh. Anyone got suggestions for this? |

You say you need inspiration, whenever I need something to inspire me to skin I look at things from Final Fantasy and some japenese animes. also the skin is a bit dark, if you use the dodge tool it will come out nicely in the end... |

I look at gar's skins or whitehorn's skins for inspiration. Or I just ask warbringer what needs to be skinned for DR, but thats just me :p. Anyway, I think you need to really make 1/2 of the face look pure mechanical, and the other side almost pure flesh, but with a bit of differences (maybe you can have then go onto the other side of the face a bit w/ smudge. |

A fun thing to do for insperation. Is to go to yahoo and look up deamons or god or vampires or type in thing like demon hunters. Basically just do research. I dun have to do this because i have a Demons & spirits encyclopedia. Which actually just has tons of creatues and such. Faies are in ther, browniees. Actual Demon hunters. Places of hauntings also. Its pretty cool because its sumwhere between fantasy, Myth and reality, because alot of info comes from other text and ancient stories and interviews and stuff. |

Thanks for the suggestions. To tell the whole story, I ended up scrapping the original idea. I scrapped it after I experimented around with making the skin blue. I tried using blue because I noticed the gargoyle's skin color is blue, and he has a good undead apperance. Blue stood out more against the armor, but unfortunatly he no longer really looks undead. Im not disappointed though, because after a little experimenting I found a color scheme I liked and I totally redid everything. I know the name has to be changed, and perhaps the skin needs some touching up. Overall, though, I am happy with him. Anyways, here are the results. Tell me what you think. :> |
