Newb question

... Everyones prolly gonna laugh but... how do u make it so that if u start out with cityscape u want to add something from lorderan winter? but not change the whole map terrain?

Advanced-> Modify Tileset

Ive tried this before... it makes the whole map change terrain like if i had cobblestone it would change it to whitemarble if u selected cityscape... i think i have to make a custom palette...

Use common sense. Check the box next to "Use custom tileset". This will allow you to add and remove tiles from other tilesets.

Bladeofwar, when you choose custom tileset, and you remove for example the dirt tile, then when you replace another tile with it, every spot of the map where you used the dirt tile will be replaced with the new tile.
