As 3DGuy mentioned, the server did crash yesterday, probably caused by harddrive errors. The server was brought back up for a few hours, but then taken down again for upgrades. We have a new HDD now, and Stoned swapped out the server's old 2.2 GHz Celeron processor for a 2.4 GHz Pentium 4. Besides all this, we also installed a new operating system, Gentoo Linux, and cleaned up lots of places. You should expect the server to run more quickly now, and go offline less.
