Hey guys, carrect me if im wrong, but to make a sound "sound" you have to: 1.Go to the sound editor and pick a sound and use it as a sound. 2.Then go to the trigger editor and make the action: Play sound: *selected sound* RIGHT?! If yes, well, i don't know what heppened but IT WON'T WORK!!! :\ I tried everything but that sound just wont work! btw it's a sound from war3, just from the sound editor (if it will help) |

We can't magically tell why it won't work. Convert the trigger to text and post it. |

Well there could be some reasons for this: 1) There could be more than just 1 sounds playing at the same time (Try to Destroy Last Played Sound). 2) I heard that it sometimes won't work with long names on sounds, so if you got a sound named "Peon What1", change it's name to something like PW1. |

I think that PatruX is right about the first one. I have too many sounds playing at one time when that sound is about to play :> Well ill try to fix it Thanx anyway ^_^ |

Might be a non-3D sound being used as 3D, or vice-versa. This is a question for the sound forum, though. |

(Just making sure...) You DO have a .wav, not a .mp3, correct? Eh, I'm not so great with sound (not that I'm great normally) but I do know you cant use Mp3's... |

Well.... idon't know, (if in war3 are mp3's) i just opened the Sound editor and i didnt import eny sounds i just took the sound in the editor!!! |

o_O It's obviously a wav if it's from WC3. Anyway, this thread needs to be moved into the sound forum, this isn't our "thing". |

So..... any other ideas? |

If you are using "Sound - Play HydraliskWhat1 <gen>" Then I stand by what I said previously; you cannot use a 3D sound without playing it on a unit or offset. Sound editor > Double click. There is a 3D radio box. |

Go to the sound editor, double click on the sound that is giving you the problems, UNCHECK the 3d Sound box. In the trigger use the Action: Play - Sound That will work... :D |
