Well I figured let's try to start a healthy discussion on the recent developments in soundtrack land. Some opinions, some recommendations for what tracks can be used as these days. I'll start off. Van Helsing recently released. Composed by an old fossile like veteran Alan Silvestri, also known for The Mummy, The Mummy Returns to name just 2 other names, is not a noobie in the action movie field. I think the score allows for lots of wc3 appliance. Let's start out by pointing out that the whole guitar thing in orchestra in the track "Journey to Transylvania" and later reprised in "Transylvanian Horses" is a great cue for some intro cinematic to a campaign. Dark mood though, the choirs really do it. Most other tracks aren't bad either. The reunited track is sweet in it's love theme feel, and then it bangs in with the reprisal of a main theme? That is SO an epic ending of a campaign. "Mr/Mrs XXX died... now they are done remembering that person and WHAM the main character walks towards the horizon with the kick ass main theme in the back" Just like in the movie. WC3 usage Action: 5/5 Suspense: 4/5 Romantic: 2/5 |

First I mod the forum I think I know what belongs here. Second the forum description doesn't even mention that what you claim "Exchange experience with editing sound and making voices like professional actors do. Got the right tone? Post it in here!" I would rather have people post that kind of thing in a tech forum, cause that's what it is. Though well we still get those. Anyways the forum is for musicians, voice actors and sound engineers to talk, share and get creative. Wanna bet the skin forum isn't only for importing/usinh skins in world editor either? :o |
